​Cross Bedding

Cross bedding is composed of a series of laminae that are obliquely intersecting at the interface of the layer system. It is characterized by the oblique relationship between the fine bedding and the separation plane between the layers, the upper part intersecting with the main bedding, and the lower part being tangent to the main bedding.
